Host UTiice Grounds Beautified The Beautification Com mittee of the Murphy Garden Club has recently beautified the grounds in front of the post office. Mrs. Salo Horo witz drew a plan for this project. TTie shrubbery -was pur chased from local nur seryman. Mr. Harold Hatches and he also planted it. Mr. Thomas J. Wolfe and Mr. Edward P. Brunson, who own the building, made liberal contributions. The Beautification Com mittee is composed of Mrs. Holland McSwain, chairman, Mrs. Mabel Massey, Mrs. Bryan Whitfield, and Mrs. S, C. Burgess. This committee has several more projects under consid eration. Cirl Scouts Entertain Explorers The Ctrl Scouts Troop No. 204 entertained (be Explorer Pott No. 416 with ? spaghetti supper at the First Baptist' Church on Saturday ??? i?t_ February 18. A color scheme o f gold and green was used In decorating. The dining table was centered with a bowl of gold flowers and the Scout emblem of green and goldwat used as place mats. After dinner, the group went over to the Recreation Hall of the Episcopal Church were they had dessert. They also played games and had folk and square dancing. Mrs. J . R Sprung Is leader for the Girls scout and Mr. Felix Palmer is Master for the Explorers. Around thirty attended the dinner.
