Setting Type On Linotype Paper Goes To Press Headlines Are Set On Ludlow Members of (he staff of the Wildcat's . Scream, Andrews High School's monthly news paper, visited The Cherokee Scout. Thursday, February 23. The group made the field trip to Murphy to view first hand the actual operation of pro ducing a newspaper. The staff with their faculty advisor. Miss Elizabeth Whit son, arrived at The Scout office just as the last hund- ' red copies of the current edi tion of the Scream was coming off the press. Copies of the paper were distributed and each operation from start to finish was explained. February 28 at the Murphy Power Board Building. Mrs. Merle Davis, presi dent, presided over the busi ness, after which, the meeting was turned over to Mrs ."Beryl Fulcra, who gave the program on proper lighting for the home. She also showed the different Unds of table lamps and bulbs to be used for the home. During the social hour, Mrs . John Smart was welcomed as a new member. Then, the hostesses, Mrs. Roy Lovln good and Mrs. George Size, served refreshments to the 20 members present. Rock Hovadtrs Mttt The Trl -State Rock Hound ers held their regular meeting on Saturday evening in their building at Brasstown. Dr. George Size, president presided over the business. During business, a discus sion on a Silver Workshop to be held the last week In April and the first week of May. They have a few vacan cies left and anyone interested In the silver work may get In contact with Mrs. HermanEs tes, at Brasstown. During the program, Ben Warner, Jr., showed slides of the Holy Land.
