Introduced earlier.
Forsyth, who waa Joined by
Seaa. Adam Whitley at John
ston and Tom Clayton of Jack
son In sponsoring the bill, said
Its main purpose waa n rel
ieve game pin tec tors at the
duty at distributing fishing and
hunting llcenaes to persons
and firms who sell the li
censes and of going back to
collect the money to send to
the Wildlife Commission.
Forsyth said some wild
life protectors have been
spending one third of their
time distributing licenses and
collecting money and it was
taking too much of their time
from their other duties. He
said the bill proposes that
the person or persons selling
the llcenaes remit directly to
the Wildlife Commission.
He said he expected the bill
B> make more persons and
firms eligible to sell the li
censes because this would be
under the direction of Indi
vidual wildlife commissioners
for their districts Instead ot
the Wildlife Commission di
rector.
Forsyth said that in his
part of the state where there
are hydro -electric dams,
there might be 3 or 4 fishing
camps on a lake and only one
of them Is now permitted to
sell licenses. He said this
worked a hardship on those
not allowed to sell them be
cause they had to send their
customers to the other camp.
