If a person feels some thing is right to do religiously he ought to do it shouldn't he? A. Feelings alone do not make things right or wrong. Your feelings alone are not the authority. The authority Is the BiWe the Words of Christ -J n. 12:48 "He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken the same shall judge him in the last day." For instance some people felt It was right to try to worship by washing their hands as a religious cere mony. Jesus said to them, "Howbeit in vain do they wor ship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men." Mark 7:7 Because they felt it was rieht did not make it right. It is amazing how many things today people observe religiously which are only the commandments of men. For Instance Easter, Christmas, Worshipping God with instru ments of music. Telling a Non-Christian to pray to be come a Christian, Sprinkling for Baptism, Etc. Now on the other hand When our feelings tell us to do something that is comman ded for those living under the New Testament certainly we should do it. Heb 9:16-17; Gal. 5:4; 2 Cor. 3:5-18. James 4:17 "Therefore to him that knoweth to do good and doeth it not, to him It Is sin."
