They are the parents of thirteen children, nine of which are still living. They are : Mrs. John Davis of Mineral Bluff, Ga.,Mrs.C. F. Lovlngood, and Mrs. Wood row Palmer of Maryvllle, Tenn., Mrs.Pinkney Wells and Mrs. Marcell Griggs of Marble, Ernest Davis and Misses Vanna and Ellen Davis of Murphy, and Homer Davis of Chattanooga, Tenn. A surprise dinner and family reunion toped the oc assion for the couple. Those present, other than the child ren were 2 daughters-in-law ?4 sons-in-law and seven of the eleven grandchildren. Absent were E unlce, Dwight , Lovella, and Carolee Lovlngood. Local friends who called hi the afternoon were Mr. and Mrs. N. F. Harper, Mr. and Mrs. Burley Deweese, Mr. and Mrs. Holt Palmer, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Ramsey, and Rev. and Mrs. Marvin Hampton. Mr. and Mrs. Davis are life long residents of Cherokee County.
