Harry Shaw, Si^Krintendent of District Memorial Hospital, and Bud Jones, who Is also employed at the hospital, little realized when they left home at noon on Wednesday for their weekly fishing trip they would experience a new type of fish ing during the afternoon. Shortly after they arrived at Big Choga, a storm came up and they took shelter In a boat house to which a small boat was attached. During the storm the boat house broke loose drifted around In the water almost reaching the dam. They managed to escape in the small boat and didn't seem to mind not catching their usual quota of fish. Fred Archer, supply pastor at St. Andrews Lutheran Church, Andrews, and two Luther League dele gates, Haroldette Adams and Lynn Love, are attending the Luther League of North Carolina's 40th annual con vention at Lejiior Rhyne Co! lege in Hickory this week. The Convention is an annual affair of the Luther League of North Carolina and is held on the L. R. College campus. It will open Wednesday afternoon with registration and close Saturdayat noon.
