Mr. Maney was a native of Clay County and retired fanner of the Shooting Creek community in Clay County. Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday in Bethabara Bapdst Church. The Rev. Emmerson Daven port and he Rev. Truett Hogsed officiated and burial was in the church cemetery. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Neva Beasley of Clarksville, Ga? Mrs. Lela Davenport of Hayesville and Mrs. Lexie Beauley of Franklin: two sons, Millard and Don Maney of Hayesville; 23 grand children; and 23 great-grand children. lvie Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. OCELA LOVING Robbinsvllle--Ocela Loving, nine-year-old daughter of Clyde and Valerie Lakey Lov ing, formerly of Graham County, died In a Gastonia hospital Sunday morning, J uly 30, after a long illness. In addition t o the parents, she is survied by four sisters, Louanna of the home. Mrs. Patsy Lance of Asheville, Mrs. Loulla Wilde of Florida and Mrs. Lavinia Visldy of New Jersey; three brothers, Clyde Jr., and Rex and James Loving of the home; the paternal grandmother, Mrs. Charlie Loving of Graham County and the maternal grandfather, J. H. Lakey. Services were held Monday afternoon In Stechoah Baptist Church. The Rev. Clifford George and the Rev. O. G. Buchanan officiated and burial was In Jenkins Cemetery. Townson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. GEORGE M. SHIELDS George M. Shields, 69, of Rt. 2, Culberson, died at 3:20 p.m. Thursday In a Murphy hospital after a long Illness. Services were held at II a.m. Sunday In Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. The Rev. Thomas Truett, the Rev. Grew Lunsford and the Rev. Hadley Shields officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Surviving are the widow. Mrs. Flossie Ware Shields; two daughters. Mrs. Ruth Ray of Gastonia and Mrs. Ruby Gaddis of Dallas; three sons Clinton of Mineral Bluff, Ga., Ray of Gastonia and Hartford Shields of Culberson, and seven grandchildren. Services were heldat2p.m. Monday in Little Brasstown Baptist Church, of which he was a member. The Rev. Fred Lunsford and the Rev. A.B.Lovell officiated and burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Neal and Hammle Green, Ray andBur ton Sales, Charles Hedden and Billy Tipton. Mr. Clayton was a native of White County, Ga., a son of the late Stephen and Mary Page Clayton. He had lived in Clay County since childhood. He was a farmer and was mall carrier between Brass - (own and Young Harris, Ga. for 20 years. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Jewel Griggs Clayton; three sons, Jack Q. and Rex of Brasstown and John of the U. S. Army, Munich, Germany ; a daughter, Mrs. Willie Lee Wiggins of Robbinsvllle; two brothers.
