Local civic groups or persons may volunteer for beautification projects at their community school. She mentioned that there wee many things around local businesses that could be utilized. Said she. Teachers are creative geniuses. He an nounced that T-shirts would be awarded to persons who volunteer SO hour* to educa tion during the remainder of this school year." Said Mr. Oxendine,. ''We want you to slip into a T-shirt...We have s shirt for you...We also have your size...We have small, medium and large...We also have extra large." The crowd was very enthu siastic and many of them left with the intention of taking the adopt a school idea back {into their community and putting it into practice.
