Pembroke-Students pf Pem broke Elementary1 School braved the cold morning air to see a pole-setting and climb ing demonstration put on by linemen from Lumbee River Electric Membership Corpo ration here Friday morning. Line Superintendent Billy Stutts introduced the program part of the continuing outrea ch of LREMC, with stories on the history of rural electrifica tion and safety tips around home. Assistant General Manager Ronpie Hunt con tinued with information on cm reefs in electrification and the description of jobs done at the non-profit cooperative. But it was easy to see that the real drawing card for the day was the big machinery which transports, digs and lifts necessary poles and lines. In less time than it takes to tell about it, a hole was dug with the hydraulic auger. A pole swung into place, the dirt was shoveled back in, and a man in full climbing gear took his place at the top. He was met by another lineman in the bucket truck as children below strained their necks for a glance above. i "This is the type of pro gram we enjoy giving most," said spokesman Jim Autry. "It gives the general public an up-close look at how we bring them electric service in the areas we cover." More contact with, its mem bers and the public is sched uled in the future, according to the LREMC crewmen. As a rural electric cooper ative, Lumbee River EMC provides service to more than 20,000 consumers in Robeson, Scotland, Hoke and Cumber land counties. Our lesson "The Rapture of the Church." The Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the Arch angel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first. The Bible clearly teaches the second coming of Christ Jesus Him self said: "Let not your heart be trouble; ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions; If it were not so, I would hive told you. I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there ye may be also." This truth was continually on the minds of believers of the early Church. They had seen the We feel like saying u John said, "Even so, come (quick ly) Lord Jesus." Peter indica ted end-time events should be for self examination and com mittment, our conversation ought to be holy and god liness, looking for the coming of the Day of our Lord.
