SPECIAL THANKS TO MIRIAM OXENDINE I inadvertently left Miri am Oxendine's name out of forming Saturday In The July 3. She is Music Director of LKDA'i Lumber River Native American Caster for the Arts. I apologue for the error on my part. As a matter af fact. Ms. Oxendine was involved in practically every phase of the Lumbee Homecoming activi ties. Practically everywhere an entertainer appeared in the forefront. Ms. Oxendine. a great entertainer m her own right, could be seen in the background (more likely than not, sitting at the piano, one of several instruments she has mastered). LRDA and Lumbee Home coming is indebted to Miriam Oxendine. For, indeed, with out her talents and expertise. Lumbee Homecoming 1982 would not have turned out to be the success it proved to be.
