Parie Lambert FAIRMONT-Parie Lambert. 64. of 212 S. Manila St., died Tuesday (Feb. 6) at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Friday (Feb. 9) at Pleasant View Baptist Church, the Revs. Ricky , Burnett, Timmy Hunt and George Locklear officiating. Burial followed in New BethelChurch Cemetery. Ms. Lambert was born in Robeson County on May 29, 1936. She was a homemaker, and was preceded in death by her mother, Roady Lambert and a son, Danny Lambert. Surviving are three sons. Lacy Lambert, Tracy Lambert and Tommy Lambert, all of Fairmont; two daughters, Mary Ann Strickland and Glory Ann Lambert, both of Fairmont; a sister, Lula Oxendine ofOrrum; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a special friend, James McDuffie. Robert Locklear ROWLAND-Robert Locklear. 72, of Rowland died Tuesday (Feb. 6). The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Friday (Feb. 9) at Union Light Baptist Church in Maxton, the Rev. Romey Revels officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Mr. Locklear was born in Robeson County on April 7, 1928 to the late Noah and Bessie Ransom Locklear. He retired from Waverly Mills. Surviving are his wife, Essiebell Locklear; a son, Clinton Locklear; two daughters. Sallie Chavis and Neomie Locklear, all of Maxton; six grandchildren; and eight greatgrandchildren. James Franklin "Inky" Oxendine PEMBROKE-Mr. James Franklin "Inky" Oxendine, 31, of 166 Randall Drive, died Monday (Feb. 5) at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. The funeral was held at 3 p.m. Friday (Feb. 9) at Bear Swamp Baptist Church, the Revs. Timmy Chavis, Dwight Deal and Lindbergh Chavis officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Surviving are his mother, Ann Hunt of the home; two sons, Ryan O'Neal Oxendine and Ridge O'Brien Oxendine, both of Pembroke; five brothers, Bryan Oxendine of Norfolk, Va., Chris Miller of Pembroke, and Kent Porter, David Porter and Joseph Porter, all of Maxton; five sisters, Theresa A. Bullard of Maxton, Lynn Miller, Crystal D. Miller and Scarlet Miller, all of Pembroke, and C'hocawana Locklear of Red Springs; and his maternal grandmother, Muriel Hunt of Pembroke. Burial followed in the Oxendine Cemetery on Rennert road. Mrs. Locklear was born in Robeson County on Sept. 16, 1915. to the late Duncan and Catherine Mitchell Bell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Edmond Locklear. Surviving are four sons. Mrs. Weames was bom May 15, 1913 in Robeson County, and was a homemaker and member of Riverside Church of God where she was active in the ladies class. She was preceded in death by her parents.
