The Board of Directors of Lumbee Regional Development Association is seeking a
qualified candidate for the position of Executive Director.
Position Summary: Executive Director will be responsible ior the management of
a multi-purpose, non -profit corporation in the field of community and economic
development, and be responsible for the planning, coordinating, and
implementation of all non-profit programs and activities as assigned by the Board
of Directors. The Executive Director will be the lead position in the agency for the
procurement of additional funding and fund-raising for resources to carry out and
expand services, mission, and goals of the corporation.
Desirable Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Ability to plan, organize, and
supervise all operations of the corporation, administer internal policies, state and
federal regulations, and provide guidance to the governing body on policy
development in fulfilling the agency's non-profit services mission to low-income
citizens in the traditional services area. Excellent writing and oral skills is a must,
with a general knowledge of property management, budgets, contracts,
agreements, management and development. Must be cultural sensitive to lowincome
clientele, and a high-energv individual who is a self-starter and leader.
Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited tour year college or university
with a degree in Business, Public Administration, or related field. Five to ten years
of management experience required. Appropriate credit will be given for
equivalent job related experience, training, education, awards, and outside
activities, or accomplishments m a related field. Must have extensive knowledge
and experience in state and federal programs, foundations, private fund raising
strategies, and a demonstrated successful track record in the career field
Extensive travel required
Salary: The Board of Directors will set the salary, with an excellent benefit
package, baSed on education, and qualifications
