That certain tract or parcel of land
lying and being in Lumberton Township,
Robeson County. North Carolina,
and being about 1.5* miles Northeast
ofthe center ofthe City of Lumberton,
NC, adjacent to and on the Western
side of Secondary Road No. 1952,
adjacent to and on both sides of
Meadow Branch Canal, adjoining
lands now or formerly owned by
Sargent Kemp on the North, lands
now or formerly owned by Samuel H.
Lyons. Jr., on the West and Sam R.
Noble on the South and being more
particularly described as follows, towit:
BEGINNING at an existing axle
in a ditch in the Western line of Secondary
Road No. 1952, at its
intersection with the Northeastern of
fifth (5th) line ofthe original 2.5 acre
tract of which this is a part, the Southeastern
comer of Lot No. 1 in the
division of the Sargent Kemp lands
and running thence as the Western
line of Secondary Road No. 1952,
South 04 degrees 10 minutes West
156.74 feet to an existing one (I) inch
iron pipe in"the southern or first line
of said original tract; thence as said
line North 83 degrees 40 minutes
West 276.68 feet to an existing 3/4
inch iron pipe, the Southeastern or
sixth (6th) corner of that 1.31 acre
tract, conveyed by Grace Munn,.
Widow, to Samuel H. Lyons, Jr., and
his wife, Carolyn S. Lyons, by deed
dated 9 February 1972, recorded in
Deed Book 18-H, at page 38, in the
Office of the Register of Deeds of
Robeson County; thence as the Southeastern
or fifth (5th) line of said
Lyons Lot North 05 degrees 41 minutes
East 137.14 feet to an existing 2
inch iron pipe in the Northeastern or
fifth (5th) line of said original tract;
thence as said line, crossing Meadow
Branch Canal, to and as the center of
a ditch South 87 degrees 45 minutes
East 272.90 feet to the beginning,
containing 0.925 acres, more or less.
The highest bidder at the sale will
be required to make a cash deposit not
to exceed the greater of five percent
(5%) of the amount of the bid or seven
hundred fifty dollars (S750.00) when
knocked down to him, and the balance
upon confirmation of the sale.
The sale will be reported to the
court and will remain open for advance
or upset bids for a period of ten
(10) days. IF no advance or upset bids
are filed with the Clerk of Superior
Court, the sale will be confirmed.
The sale is subject to all outstanding
liens, encumbrances, taxes, and
assessments.
