4) in Southeastern Regional Medical
Center in Lumberton.
Mrs. Jacobs was a member of Life
Line Church of God.
Her funeral was held at 3 p.m. Friday
(Sept 7) in Floyd Funeral Services
Chapel in Fairmont, the Revs. James
E. Jones and Clennie Jones officiating.
Burial followed in L.umbee Memorial
Gardens near Pembroke.
Mrs. Jacobs is survived by four
sons, Clifton Jacobs, Delwood Jacobs,
Jack Jacobs and Jerry Jacobs,
all of Fairmont; two daughters. Zula
Scott of Lumberton and Vashtie
Gilliland of Alabama; 31 grandchildren;
64 great-grandchildren; and 31
great-great-grandchildren.
Jesse James Maynor
PEMBROKE-Mr. Jesse James Maynor,
74, of 100 Lockwood Drive, died
Tuesday (Sept. 4) in Southeastern
Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.
Mr. Maynor was a principal of Les
Maxwell School in Fayetteville for 13
years and a teacher in the Robeson
County schools for another 17 years.
The' funeral was held at 2 p.m. Friday
(Sept. 7) in Green Pine Freewill
Baptist Church, the Revs. Bobby D.
Locklear and Cliff Locklear officiating.
Burial followed in St. Annah Church
Cemetery. Arrangements were
handled by Locklear & Son Funeral
Home, Pembroke.
Mr. Maynor is survived by four
brothers, Afford Maynor of the home,
Roy Maynof of Sterling Heights,
Michigan, Willie S. Locklear of Red
Springs and Earl Locklear of Clinton
Township, Mich.; and six sisters,
Genora Locklear, Christine Brayboy.
Shelby Chavis, Annie Cummings and
Regina Locklear, all of Pembroke, and
Vondola Locklear of Red Springs.

substitute teacher for the Cumberland
Counts Schools, a member of Collins
Chapel United Methodist Church in
Lumber Bridge, Oserseas Education
Association and the National Education
Association.
