OBITUARIES Mamie Lambert Jones ELIZABETHTOWN-Mrs. Mamie Lambert Jones, 70, of 804 Poplar St., died Sunday (Sept. 23) at ' Sunbridge Nursing Home. The funeral was held at 3 p.m. Thursday (Sept. 27) at Bayside Freewill Baptist Church, the Revs. Mitchell Cummings, Kenny Mitchell and Charles Jones officiating. Burial followed in the Reedy Branch Church Cemetery. Mrs. Jones was born in Robeson County on March 19, 1931 to the late Zeke and Lucindy Lambert. Surviving are her husband, ; Roy Lee Jones; a son. Jones FAIRMONT-Mrs. Crystal Gail Jones, 26, of 7128 Holly St., died Friday (September 28) in South- eastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. Mrs. Jones was a housekeeper for Hampton Inns in Lumberton. The funeral was held at 3 p.m. Tuesday (October 2) in East Side Baptist Church in Lumberton, the Revs. James R. Hunt and Billy Burns officiating., Burial followed in Fairpoint Church Cemetery. Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband, Shawn Jones of Pembroke; a daughter, Trista K. Hunt . of the home; her father, Ricky L. ' Jacobs of Shannon; her mother and stepfather, Virginia H. and Dewayne Deal of Lumberton; her adopted father, Roy L. Hunt of Fairmont; four brothers, Jason R. Hunt, Joshua L. Hunt, Frankie L. Hunt and Justin W. Hunt, all of Fairmont; four stepbrothers, Anthony Hunt of Fayetteville, Roy L. Hunt of Ohio, Joshua Deal of Lumberton and Wilbert Deal of Fairmont; a sister, Tawana Hunt of Fairmont; three stepsisters, Michelle Green of Fairmont, and Tifany L. Deal and Dekelie L. Your participation will contribute to a historical photo exhibit that will take place next summer, and to an archive that is being developed by and for Indian people. Bring your photographs and we will record your story using our audio equipment and " reproduce your photos with our copy stand. You won't need to give away your pictures?the copy stand makes a photo negative of your picture, then you can take the photo back home and we can make another copy of it for you if you wish. Be prepared to talk about one of your pictures, or tell a related story. The Lumbee River Fund has equipment and financial resources for you to use in telling your own story; this workshop will demonstrate those resources and give you the opportunity to get involved in talking about history in your own family and community. We will also discuss how these materials should be stored and used for our community's benefit. The workshop is free of charge and all materials will be provided. We only ask you to bring one or more photographs and story that you would be willing to share with the group.
