Welfare.
The equalization fttnd.will con

which will be matched by $100,000
by the federal government. It is
designed to aid those counties
which would have to levy an ex
cessive tax rate in order to raise
their one-fourth contriibution for
indigent aged and one-third for
dependtnt children.
Yelton explained that the only
bounties eljgritole were those in
which the combined levy for the
two programs wi»ld exceed 1>

that the equalization fund would
contribute 75 per cent on the
difference.
