-Mrs. Mattie King, popular
young lady of Thomas Street
was shot and later died of the
wcundii allegedly inflicted on
her by Caldwell Richardson in
the Brooklyn Section on last
Sunday. Mrs. King was at first
thought not seriously injured,
but she died on Tuesday in St.
Phillips Hospital after taking a
definite turn for the worst*. She

was twenty years old.
She was buried on Thursday
after funeral services at Pin«-
ville Methodist ^hhrch. The
body was in charge of tha Rock
Hill Funeral Home.
Richardson is being hold In
York County Jail for trial.
