The firm's new models this year have generated considerable enthusiasm among the fi rm's executives, who referred to them this year as "The DependaWes." Dodge offer* three lines of cars, Nichols pointed out, each one distinctly different in style, size and price, and each line tailored to fit an important part of the market. MORE SPACE ADDED V!- SUBTLE REFINEMENTS IN LINCOLN STYLING MADE FOR 1963 DBAABORN. MICH. — Lincoln ContinenUl’s styling und ergoes only subtle refinements in 1963 and the car 1» enriched by increased roominess, additional luggage space and higher perfor mance in the engine. “The car’s high reputation for r-eliablUty and durability is en hanced further by additional im provements in quality throughout all areas of design and manufac ture," said Ben D. MlUs, Ford Motor Company vice president and general manager ol the Lin coln • Mercury Division. Mr. Mills pointed out that the Lincoln Con tinental continues to carry a 24,- 000-mile, two-year warranty. Interior design improvements yield almost an inch more leg- room for front scat passengers and more than an inch addition al legroom for rear seat passen gers. Rear sect headroom also is increased slightly. The sedan trunk has 1.8 cubic feet additional usable capacity, which permits carrying one addi tional 2-suiter. ' The car’s elegant styling shows a slight modification resulting from a new and higher rear deck and three - dimensional ornamen tation on the lower back panel. The distinctive front - end fea tures a new grille and upper grille moulding. Amber lights for front turn signal and parking lights are a new safety feature. New driveshaft universal joints require lubrication only after 30,• 000 miles, rather than 6,000 miles. Steering and front suspen sion continue on a 30,000-mile lubrication cycle, and oil filter and oil change continue on a 6,- 000-mile change cycle. Longlife anti - freeze is good normally for 36,000 miles or two years. Mlany accessories.
