J., Lexington and Roxbury, Mass. Also they visited the World's Fair . • * * MISSIONARY SOCIETY HOLDS MEETING The Carolina Barnes Mis sionary Society of St. Joseph's A. M. E. Church met at the home of Mrs. Allie Mitchell, 1409 Fayetteville St., on Aug. 22. Miss Ellison Is Bride of Jas. H. Williams Miss Hazel Antoinette Elli son, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willie Lindsay Ellison of this city, and James Herman Wil liams of New York, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Williams of Durham, were united in mar riage on Saturday, August 21. The ceremony took place at White Rock Baptist Church at 6 P.M. Rev. Miles Mark Fisher, IV, and Dr. Miles Mark Fisher, pastor-emeritus of the church, officiated. E Massenburg was the organist and Willie Green, soloist. The bride, escorted by her father, wore a white sheath formal gown of delystered sat in, designed with a circular neckline, long-fitted sleeves, and a detachable train. Re-em broidered alencon lace trimmed with seed pearls accented the waist, bodice, and skirt. The bride's veil of bridal il lusion was attached to a circle of imported Italian orange blos soms. She carried a white Bible topped with an orchid corsage and streamers with sprays of stephanotis. Maid of honor was Miss Lilla Frances Ellison, sister of the bride. Mrs. Yvonne J Ellison of New York, the bride's sister in-law, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Car men A. Ellison, sister of the bride, Miss Mildred A. Wil liams of New York City, sister of the groom, Mrs. Elayne S. McKaskill and Miss Priscilla L. Harris. The attendants wore floor length, empire-style gowns with mint green skirts and kelly green bodices. Their head pieces were kelly green floral combs with pearls and match ing veils. They carried long stemmed pink carnations. Clifton Williams was his bro ther's best man.
