RALEIGH St. Augustine's
College will bring to its cam
pus several outstanding speak
ers for the opening of its Cen
tennial Week, announced Dr.
P. R. Robinson, acting presi
dent of the college.
On Tuesday, January 31, Dr.
Albert Whiting, president-elect
oi M. C. College at Durham,
delivered the assembly addren
at 11:00 a.m.; Wednesday, Feb
rurary 1, the St. Augustine's
College Music Dept. will pre
sent it's Choir and Band Con
cert; Friday, February S, at
11:30 a.m. a special assembly
will be held in the Emery
Building, at which time Dr.
John Hope Franklin, Prof, of
History at the Univ. of Chicago
will be the speaker.
At 8:00 p.m. on the same
date, the Falcons of St. Augus
tine's will meet the Bears of
Shaw Univ. at the Dorton
Arena.
The Annual Alumni Work
shop yvill be held on Saturday,
February 4, beginning at 9:30
p.m. Featured speakers will be
Peter Holden of New York and
Oscar Peay of Philadelphia.

Bank of Washington will speak
