It's the 100 th anniversary of the founding of Canada as a nation and highlighting the event is Expo '67, tl*e world's fair at Montreal. In honor of the occasion, the Canadian government has is sued a newly designed set of coins for all denominations from one cent through the sil ver dollar. The one dollar bill his also been redesigned. It marks the first time Can ada has issued new designs for each denomination of coinage to commemorate an event, points out Ken Bressett, nu mismatic editor at Whitman Publishing Company, Racine, Wis. The coins depict wild life native to Canada, ranging from the mackerel to the Canadian goose. You can obtain uncirculated sets of the new coins (limit 5 sets per person) by writing to: Coins Uncirculated, Post Office Box 470, Ottawa 2, On tario, Canada. Your order should be accom panied by a certified check or money order made out to the Receiver General of Canada. Each set costs 14,00. One of the main reasons lor -increasing popularity of Oeaa dian coin collecting here is the similarity between U.S. coinage and that of Canada. With the exception of a few rare issues, Canadian coins are readily available from American numismatic dealers at reason able price*. All Canadian monies are listed, priced and described in Whitman's 1967 Standard Cata logue of Canadian Coins, To kens and Paper Money, by J. E. Charlton. SAY IT IN ITALIAN i L M Bk When in Italy do as the Italians do, says Elsa Die trich, hostess for Lufthansa German Airlines. These key phrases will help: Pronto! ("Hello!"), Puo dirmi . . . ? ("Can you tell me . . . ?"), Quanta costa questo? ("How much is this?"), Da che parte? ("Which way?"), Grazie mille ("Thank you very much"). Grazie, Elsa! (y BY 80881 Now that we have pantsuits, it's not a question of irlm wears the pants hut where to wear them! They'll' so new that no one has yet really established a code for what's proper. A stroll down New York's Fifth Avenue was. all it took to convince me that pantsuits have now broken the department store barrier. New worlds to conquer? Res taurants! Recently, some of the Beautiful People (with pant suits to match) have met with excited whispers, embarrassed glances and a hurried apology as they've been refused entry to some of the city's most chichi dining spots. .Rut, never fear. The way things are going they may make it yet! One thing is certain, however. Not since the days of Amelia Bloomer has the cause for pants been taken up Ri^ with such vigor. And why not? What fashion could possibly give more freedom for women than the pantsuit? It's the per fect fashion for the active life. One marvelous way to take up the emancipation cause for yourself is in this zingv two some in pastel checks. The houndstooth tri-blend fabric has been COIN bonded to an inner fabric to give it body and shape retention. Glenhaven has chosen this fabric because Coin Inter national's strict quality control standards make the bonding permanent. That's what keeps the neat creases in this pant suit, wearing after wearing. COIN is the bonded fabric that never puckers or pulls apart, no matter how hard you are on clothes. Your dry cleaner will tell you that it's the "no prob lem" bonded fabric. So if you want to avoid problems (in clothes nvd conduct), look for the COIN hangtag when you shop . . . and let the man wear the pants in the family when you're dining out! STRENGTH IN RESERVE...
