Miller 111. son of Mr. and Mrs. Erland Edwards of Brooklyn, N. Y. Miss Walker is a graduate of Elmira College, Elmira, New York and is doing graduate study in Biochemistry at North western University Medical School. Mr. Miller is a gradu ate of Dartmouth College, Han over, New Hampshire and is at present at Stanford Univer sity Graduate School of Busi ness. Landis en tertained their parents at their home at Route 1, Creedmoor on June 18. celebrating their 50th Anniversary of their mar riage. Scores of friends called between the hours of 1:30 and 5:30 p.m. Receiving the_ guests and j gifts was Hiss Qjfrolyn Landis. ( The approximately 300 guests were directed to the living room ' where the couple received their j second vows by their pastor, i Rev. L. M. Gooch. They re ceived congratulations from j the guests. Enterprise St. were united in marriage June 10 at a 5 O'clock ceremony. The wedding took place at Mount Vernon Baptist Church with the Rev. E. T. Browne of ficiating. A program of organ music was presented by Mrs. Ruth Suitt McCollum with Mrs. Davesene Wiggins Spellman as soloist, who is the sister of the groom. ' The bride was given in mar riage by her brother Claude Cobb, Jr. The bride's sister Mrs. Ruth C. Choate, served as her matron of honor. Willie Dun han of Charlotte, was best man. The bride wore a white street length gown of hand clipped chantilly lace and peau de soie i fashioned with a fitted bodice, scalloped sebrina neckline, fitted short sleeves trimmed with peau de soie and finished with a flounce of scalloped chantilly lace. The bouffant skirt was edged with lace scal lop. Her train was of peau de soie with appliquies of chan tilly lace and sequins. Her veil of illusion was attached to a I pill box of peau de soie accent- j ed with pearls and sequins j She carried white carnations attached to a white Bible. The matron of honor wore a soft yellow street length gown of organza and hand made al- j con lace fashioned with a yoke j of lace with wrist length j sleeves and a small peter pan ; collar of lace and scallops.
