Junior Miss etiquette,
grooming and interests.
Q. My parents have said OK
to a little make-up for evening,
but I make a real mess in the
bathroom putting it on. How do
you keep all these powdered
products under control?
A. Powdered eye shadow,
blush-look powders, and face
powders can make a bathroom
sink look like a rainbow! Wher
ever you apply your make-up
at a dresser or lavatory
spread two or three Kleenex
tissues before you open the
compacts. The tissues will catch
floating powders. They're also
handy for wiping brushes used
with these powders, and cleSri
up consists of carefully folding
the tissues and throwing them
away. Neat, huh?
Q. White fishnet stockings are
"In," but they don't look like
much with my brown loafers.
What kind of shoes should I
wear with them and where can
they be worn?
A. You're right! White's in
but so are all the pastel
textured hose. Wear them any
where you would wear stock
ings. But, as you discovered,
they don't go weil with loafers.
They look best with low, fat
heeled shoes with definitely
rounded or squared toes. If
you're wearing your skirts just
organized a year ago. and has |

Q. I'm planaing a hack-yard
barbecue soon after school
starts and I want it to look
great. How can 1 make groovy
decorations without a lot of ex
pense or work clean-up in
cluded?
A. Color coordinate! Make
your own matching accessories
-place mats, table cloth,
coasters for soft drink bottles
and serving dishes. Use adhe
sive-backed Marvalon in a wild
print to cover a coffee can and,
presto! you have a vase. Cover
a potato chip can for serving.
Give salt and pepper shakers a
new look as well. Cut mats or
table cover from the same print
or a contrasting color. After
the party, the Marvalon just
peels off, leaving no marks.
And everything can be thrown
away! You'll get raves for an
original party, and clean-up
couldn't be easier!
