Q - What are the maximum: charges allowed by the Vete-' rans Administration on a Q. I. loan? A - The veteran-borrower is permitted to pay reasonable closing costs customarily paid by borrowers in home mort gage financing. These include fees and a lender's origination fee not to exceed one per cent of the loan amount instead of any other fees for the lender's services. A - Generally yea - a vete ran may receive $l6O wage credit for each month of World War II duty if he was released from service under ot her than dishonorable conditions and had at least SO days of active service. A recent law increas ed the aggregate amount of Veterans may receive under two or more programs from 36 to 48 months. Assuming your son received 36 months of VA benefits under the War Orphans program, he will be entitled to 12 months of additional aid under the G. I. Bill. He should make application for a Certifi cate of Eligibility from the VA regional office where his vete ran records will be on file. Q - I am a World War II veteran who financed my home with a G.
