The businessmen com pleted the Management Deve lopment Institute conducted in the state primarily for small businessmen and direct ed primarily at problems faced by black businessmen and women. The institute was conducted by Management Development Inc. of Chapel Hill, ap extension of The Executive Program at the Uni versity of North Carolina. The faculty for the insti tute was primarily leading businessmen, industrialists and financial people from the Greensboro area. The institite was co-spon sored by Management Deve lopment Inc.", A&T Stale Uni versity and the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce. The institutes are held across the state. C. - Fellowships for 15 weeks of study at The Washington Journalism Center have been awarded to seven Blacks and one Mexican-American, Julius Duscha, Director of the Center, announced today. n' The fellowships are fi nanced by a Ford Founda tion grant to the Center for a program to encourage minorities to pursue careers in journalism. Each Fellow will receive a $2,500 stipend to pay for his living expenses while in Washington. Ranging in age from 21 to 27 years old, the Fellows will attend daily seminap with top Fe«fctt! The mighty, mighty Hornets broke 100 for the first time in the basketball season against E. E. Smith on Friday, December 18. The final score was 104 to 13 in favor of the mighty Hornets.
