J Lyon Park Rose Garden Club Holds Meet With Mrs. Thompson The first meeting of the Lyon Park Rose Garden Club of the year was held at the home of Mrs. A. L. Thomp son recently. The devotional period was led by Mrs. Mae Willie Webb. The President called for committee reports and gave the key for the new year. The following members were present; Mesdames Pearl Brown, Mattie Cantry, Jose phine Hopkins, Pauline Hole man, Willie Sneed, A. L. Thompson, Mae Willie Webb, Alice Jones, Helen McClain, Misses Alene Mebane, Mary L. Stephens and Mayme Francis Webb represented the Junior Gardeners. Mrs. A. L. Thompson and grand daughter served a de licious repast which was en joyed by all. Miss Stephens thanked the hostess for an en joyable evening. The affair was held at N.C.C.U*s Eagle Nest. The president, Mrs. Mattie Cantry presided. Prayer was offered by Mrs. Sophorania Green, and Mrs. Elnora Smith gave a very intellectual talk on ways of living a peaceful chris tian life, which was enjoyed by all. Secret Pals were revealed and everyone enjoyed the lovely meeting.
