Carolina Shriners in Benefit Cage Game in Greensboro The upsurging Carolina Cougars, sparked by the stellar shooting of Joe Caldwell, are expected to bring more than 5,000 members of the North Carolina Shriners, Prince Hall Masons, friends and sports loving fans to see them play the New York Nets, in the Greensboro Coliseum, Friday night, February 19. Major High, in charge of the arrangements for the game says that the interest is very high and reports from through out the Desert of North Carolina indicate that the game will be a success. The Cougars will have such start as George Peeples, Gene Littleq, Frank Card, along with HAMPTON PIRATES STEAL GAME FROM N. C. CENTRAL UNIV. EAGLES C_ry Anderson Sank a pair of free throws with just six se conds left to hand the Eagles of North Carolina Central a 79-75 loss and a dim chance of good standing in conference play, Saturday night in Hamp ton. The victory gave Hampton a 4-9 conference record and over-all 9-14 log. Central is BOW 7-3 in league action and •7-9 for the season. With 1:57 left in the game, Central was down 73-60 to the Virginia squard but sported to within four on Lou Ellis' two foul shots with just 33 seconds left at 77-73.
