Zion Church met at the home of Mrs. El mira Flintall, 613 Price Ave nue, Tuesday, March 9. The meeting was opened with the Chaplain, Mrs. Lucille Ervin, presiding. After devotions a business session was held in which plans were made for a trip to Six Flags in Atlanta Georgia in July. The president, Mrs. Flintall, served a delicious re past, after which the meeting MOREHEAD AVE. Daye, pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church will deliver the Men's Day message at the 3:00 P.M. program, he will be accompanied by his choir and congregation. The membership of More head is divided into 12 equal divisions and each division has a Captain and co-captain which represents the Twelve Tribes of Isreal. Contributions and dona tions are received by each Cap tain and is reported to the church during the celebration which usually runs into several hundred dollars. MOSELEY Easter Revival Services at Mt. Gilead Mar. 22 Easter Revival Services will be held at the Mount Gilead Baptist Church, March 22-23 at 7:30 p.m. each day with the Reverend C. R. Mosley, pastor of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Belmont, N. C. as guest minister. The Reverend A. D. Moseley is pastor of Mount Gilead Baptist Church. Reverend Mosley, a native of Passaic, New Jersey is a graduate of Shaw University with an A.B. degree and of the Divinity School with a B.D. in ministry. He is affiliated with Phi Be ta Sigma Fraternity and Prince Hall Free & Accepted Masons. He is also a member of the Ad visory Committee of ASCS State Committee of U. S. De -1 partment of Agriculture; Exe cutive Committee of General Baptist State Convention; General Board of Directors, General Board of General Baptist State Convention; Co chairman Human Relations Committee; Board of Direc tors, Rescue Squad, Belmont, N. Choir Observes Anniversary The Chancel Choir of the ' First Calvary Baptist Church will observe its anniversary at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 21. On this past Sunday Dr. Grady Davis Ph.D., pastor at Union Baptist Church used as his theme "Why Earthquakes and Tornadoes." Dr. Davis thought that this thame would appropriate because of the re cent destruction caused by earthquakes and tornadoes in his sermon Dr. Davis said that earthquakes and tornadoes was God's way of letting ua know that he is always near and that he is forever present with man kind. He also brought out the fact that mankind should not wait until he is confronted with a problem to pray to God, but instead he "should seek ye the Lord while he could be found." Also on last Sunday special attention was given to the Girl Scouts and their leaders, since this was national Girl Scout Week. The Girl Scout at Union Mt. Church Nursery School. They are left to right: Walter Goldston and Rosalyn Shaw, first grade; Charles Zimmerman and Liza Black well, kindergarten; and Mesina Richmond and Jay Vestal, nursery. Next highest winners were: Baron Tharrington, first grade; Sonja Gantt, kinder garten; and Robert Lewis, nursery. Following the crowning a Fashion Show by all the other children of the School was given. Mr. Johnny Mason pre sented the Kings and Queens and Mrs. Joyce Belton nar rated the Fashion Show.
