Senate Resolution On Morality The State Senate approved and sent to the House Thurs day a resolution expressing concern over student morality at state-supported universities in North Carolina. Sen. I. C. Crawford, D-Bun combe, who sponsored the resolution, told the Senate the time has come for the state to voice concern over the moral developments. Sen. Claude Currie, D- Durham, dean of the Senate, disagreed that the resolution was the proper way of handl ing the issue. "I think the students have a right to look after their own morals as long as they stay within the law," Currie said. He added the resolution im plies that college ad ministrators are not con cerned over student morals and morality on the campuses. The youngest member of the Senate, 26-year-old Sen. P)nil Kirk, "R-Rowan, said he did not consider the resolution an indictment of students or university trustees. Sen. Charles B. Deane Jr., D-Richmond, also spoke in favor of the resolution.
