Mrs. Odessa Foushee read the scripture after which the President, Mrs. Mae Willie Webb, presided over the busi ness. Memorial service was held for the vice-president Mrs. Josephine Watson who passed recently. Mrs. Bradley the hostess served a delicious repast to the following; Mesdames Mae Willie Webb, Ruth Joyner, Odessa Foushee, Susie Lang ley, Beola Baldwin, Thelma Love, Marie Bradley and Mary B. Love. Mrs. Susie Langley thanked the hostess. Offer tory Norman Daye and Mrs. Virginia Kenion assisted. Prayer by Oliver Bullock. Mrs. Kate Lowe recognition of visiting ushers. Remarks were made by the president, Oliver Bullock. Beautiful singing was ren dered by the following groups; Mount Calvary Baptist, Orange Grove Community Chorus, Cal vary Baptist, True Lights, Gos pel Melodies, New Harris Grove Choir and The Hedgepethe Sisters. During an assembly period each girl will be interviewed on her ideas concerning Durham High. Congratulations to Monica Gunn who was chosen to re present Durham High in the DAR district meeting. DAR stands for Daughter of the American Revolution.
