FAMILY
The Frazier Family of Durham, along with a host of friends a
boarded i bus in the St. Mark AME Zion Church parking lot at"
7 ajn. Sunday, July 24, en route to Charlotte for the celebra
tion of the Fntzier-Belk-Williams Annual Family Reunion.
-, Upon arrival in Charlotte, thJ group was warmly received at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lovic Frazier, 1638 Newland Road;
An outdoor breakfast was graciously served to the group by the
hosts and friends.
- At 2:45 In the afternoon in the Bethlehem Center, a pro
gram, arranged by the reunion committee was presented to the

' The combined efforts of Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Frazier of 1806
S. Alston Ave, of Durham who made the travel arrangements
and Mr. and Mrs. Lovic Frazier od Charlotte who were the chief
organizers in Charlotte made the reunion a success.
Mrs. Eleanor Alston Frazier of Chapel Hill and Mrs. Gloria
Elmore of Durham will serve as hostesses for the 1978 reunion
which is to be held in Durham.
Friends from Durham who accompanied the Frazier family
are as follows: Mr. and Mrs. Harry Phillips, Mrs. Mary McDou
gald, Mrs. Elizabeth Brown. Wallace Royal, Maynard Ferrell,
Zeb Laws, Ferdinand Felder, Mrs. Kittyola Curtis, Mrs.
Gertrude Bland, Mrs. Charlotte Miller, Mrs. Gladys Washington,
Mr.' and Mrs. W. W. Lucas, Mrs.Vera Nicholson, Mrs. Rosa

COSBY FAMILY REUNION HELD IN VIRGINIA
The Seventeenth Zack Cosby Family Reunion was held on .
the Weaver Estate in Bealeton, Virginia, July 16. Hosting the
reunion were Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Weaver. Mr. Weaver is the
grandson of Zack and Lousia Cosby. '
The Weavei; Family house, 'Old Gray Lady', was a fitting
place for members to spread food and play games on the lawn.
Just before the blessing was offered by , Blakey Weaver a
moment of silent prayer was given in memory of two members '
who had died since the reunion in 1976. They were Samuel
Russell. Cosby and Mrs. Mildred Cosby Dawson, the last two
immediate members of Zack and Louisa Cosby's family.
Approximately 125 members attended from New York,
New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D. C. North and
South Carolina. ;

An afternoon 'delite' and an evening of charm waS given by
a new partnersliip formed recently - Paschall-Matthews-Jordan'
and Owens. The announcement was formally made on July 2.V
and a cook-out held at 703 Ridgeway Ave.
The evening entertainment included an Ebony Affair, a
semi-formal dance held at the Zafa Temple. Parents, former,
classmates, friends, instructors and businessmen were present to
, enjoy the hospitalities and festivities. ;
The purpose of the newly organized partnership is to
assist in community development, further education and busi

quet on Thursday evening, July 28 at the King's Lodge on Har- '
