She i was accompanied Dy Mrs black and green streamers, balloons and banners. The particpants answered que tions dealing with their training, the part they enjoyed about thie work, what was difficult about their work, and what re commendations they had for junior high students. Coach Carter and the North Carolina Central Gymnastic Team were featured on Wednesday. Freddie Parker of the History Department at NCCU spoke on "Black Leaders Up to Martin Luther King". Some Brogden students presented a brief dramatization, "The life of Martin Luther At a special assembly program, .Mrs. Barbara Cooke and Mrs. Gwendolyn Hasktas of the NCCU Music Department, present ed gospel , and spiritual music. A special jazz group also performed. ' On Friday afternoon, February 16, students at Brogden Junior High : School had the opportunity , to talk with many area bus : iness people and profession als. The Afro-American t Career Fair was a' high point for the week long ; activities celebrating Afro- American History Month. Seventh and eighth grade students at the school interviewed the participants in the school gym which , was decorated with red, Farmers Bank; Frank Silva and athletes from N.C.C.U.; Willis C. Speight, Speight's Auto Service Center; Dr. J.A. Jeffries, optometrist, Rev. Donald Fozard, Mt. Zion Baptist Church and Henry Vickers and Associates, insurance and estate planning.
