THE DURHAM COLLEGE BASKETBALL TEAM - ended another successful season
under the leadership of Coach Ralph Hawkins. Durham whipped Friendship College last

Carolina College basketball
team which was victorious
in the first CIAA tourna
ment. Rivera was publicist
for this team and the
tournament. :

the early 1950s Rivera was
chairman of the publicity
and promotion committee.
