Matthew Wade and his children, of Rougemont, gave
his wife and their mother, Mrs. Dorothy Wade, a sur
prise birthday party Saturday afternoon, April 28, at
the home of his mother, Mrs. Alyce Wade, in Rouge
mont. Lots, of her friends and relatives were there and
helped to celebrate the beautiful occasion. Mrs. Wade
was really surprised. She received lots of beautiful gifts.

sionary presented a program at Mount Zoar Baptist
Church on Cheek Road Sunday, April 29.

Excellency in English, for four years, at North Carolina
Central University. This award is an annual presenta

Biggers to introduce Mrs. Perry since Mrs. Biggers was
