GRADY Ordination services for Mrs. Nancy R. Grady are set for Lakeview Baptist Church, Dearborn Road, Sunday, Ju ly 22 at 6 p.m. Rev. Enoch, Moderator of the New Home in Durham Association will preside with Rev. Clifton Bullock, pastor of Lakeview delivering the ser mon. The Gospel Choir of Lakeview will render the music. Mrs. Grady will be the first lady to be ordained in the New Home in Durham Association. She is a native of Columbus, Ohio, having attended Franklin University and Ohio State University. She was a member of Maynard Avenue Baptist Church, where Jier father, Rev. R. L. Clark was the pastor. She served on the Deaconess Board and was President of the Young Adult Outreach Group. She was also a member of the League of Women Voters; President, Concerned Citizens, Liason for Licking County School Board; and Recording Treasurer of the Child Guidance League. Mrs. Grady is employed in the Technical Support Division of Northern Telecom, Inc., Raleigh. She is married to Ronald H. Grady, a building con tractor. They are the parents of two daughters, Victoria and Tandrea. FIRST AID DEPARTMENT TO MEET AT HENDERSON GROVE The First Aid Department of the Durham Ushers Union will meet Sunday, July 24 at Henderson Grove Baptist Church. All members are urged to attend. Morrison will speak at the 8 a.m. service at Mount Gilead Baptist Church, Sunday, July 22. The Junior Choir will sing. At the 11 a.m. service, Dr. Earlie Thorpe will deliver the message with singing by the Gospel Chorus and the Male Chorus. Rev. Robert G. Murray and his choir from West Wood Baptist Church of Richmond, Va. will be the guests at the 6 p.m. service. Family Greeting Rev. V.E. Brown and Rev. Casinir K. Brown, who earned his masters degree in May at I.T.C., holds a pastorate in the Atlanta area and plans to continue his studies at Emory University toward a Doctorate Degree in Sacred Scriptures. Being greeted by Rev. Brown (is son no. 2) James Reuben who is a third year student of Chiroprac tic in Chicago, III., where his father graduated with honors. To the right of James and partly showing is their older son, Eldee Jr. who is a Morehouse graduate with a major in Mathematics and is currently with IBM. To the extreme right is (son no. 5), Quin ton Maxell, an honor student at NCCU who returned from Meharry Medical School's Summer Program to join in the family reunion. Convention Headquarters will be the Hyatt Regency Hotel, with sessions of the convention and its auxiliaries being held at the Municipal Auditorium and other hotels. This will mark the first time that Dr. William Augustus Jones, Jr., militant new President of the denomination, presides at an Annual Session. Dr. Jones is Pastor of Bethany Baptist Church of Brooklyn, New York, and is the youngest man ever elected to bead a major national Baptfct convention. The Progressive National Baptist Convention b the fastest-growing body of Black Baptist in the nation. Founded in 1961 at Cincinnati, Ohio, with only 23 delegates representing 22 churches in 12 states, the Con vention has grown to almost one-million members, representing 1,500 member-churches in 40 states.
