Vocalist Gets Public Service Award
The Commission For the Advancment of Policy Affecting Youth celebrated its debut with a
disco featuring the music of one of its members, Maurice White, the lead vocalist for Earth, Wind
and Fire.
The goals of (he organization are to launch youth voter registration drives across the country.
Maurice White was also honored by receiving Mayor Marion Barry's second Public Service Award.
