In spite of spirall ing inflation and the unsettling economic climate in the nation, Mechanics and Farmers Bank continues to pro sper, showing net income for the year ended December 31, 1979 of $280,464 or a 5.28 in-; crease over 1978. j More than 100 shareholders attended the annual ' stockholders' meeting.
