FAT IS A FEMINIST ISSUE - The Durham YWCA will offer a class October 21-December 2, 7-9 p.m., which will explore the role of food in our lives, body image, the role of women in society, and dealing with our emotions. Class emphasis is NOT on counting calories, but exploring ways in which being fat may act as a psychological sur-, vival mechanism and to ask if other mechanisms might be more effective and less painful.
