He practiced for years until he perfected the art of lasso twirling and has gone on to the "big time" in the mid-west "wild west and cowboy'' rodeo circuit. Now a resident of Kansas City, Missouri, Purefoy is pictured here after per forming in the eighty-year-old American Royal Parade held last month in Kansas City. He was selected to be the only single rider which in the past, has had no such exceptions. Purefoy is reputed to be the only roper of fancy trick roping in the world today.
