Stars and Shows Nominated for NAACP Awards
NEW YORK Twenty
NBC stars and shows have
been nominated for Image
Awards presented annually by
the National Association for
the Advancement of Colored
People (NAACP). The 13th
annual awards ceremony will
be held Sunday, December 7,
at the Hollywood Palladium.
In the list of nominees for
Outstanding Mini-Series or
Television Movie is "The
Golden Moment," produced
by Don Ohlmeycr, directed by
Richard C. Sarafian, and writ
ten by David E. Peckinpah;
and "Christmas Lilies of the
Field," produced by Toby
Martin and Jack N. Reddish,
directed by Ralph Nelson, and
written 'by. John McGreevey
and Nelson.
In the category of Episode .
of a Dramatic Series, the
"Sweet Land of Liberty" seg
ment of "Quincy" was
nominated. The producers are
William Cairncross and
Charles Dismukes; the direc
tor, Robert Loggie; the writer,
Erich Collier.
In the category Episode of a
Comedy Series or Special, the
"Father and Son Day"
telecast of "Diff'rent
Strokes" is a nominee. Ben
Starr and Martin Cohan are

"Real People" with ex
