A native of Durham and graduate of Little River High School, Mrs. Holman earned her B.S. degree in accounting at North Carolina Central University. She has lived in the Utica area for five years and was previously employed at Griffiss Air Force Base, NY. Her husband, Fred Holman, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Selma Holman of Durham, is a soil conservationist and head of the Department of Agriculture's district office in New Hartford. The Holmans who moved to Utica from Middletown, NY, have one child, Alisha, 9. ; Mrs. Holman is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. McKiever Parrish of Rougemont. Mr. and Mrs. Alphonzo Claiborne, Richmond Va., spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Fuller in Durham.
