Southeastern performing arts Soups interested in touring the region beginning in September, 1982 should con tact SAF immediately for ap plication information. The , deadline for application is April 15, 1981. Each year SAF assists a limited number of profes sional touring theater, dance, opera and music groups with partial fee support to qualified sponsoring organizations ' in the Southeast. Performing groups are chosen based on their application, funds available and demand in a given art form. 1 A performing group must have a firm commitment1 from its board of directors; administrative staff and ar ' tists to the concept of touring for community audiences; a. history of sound ad ministrative and artistic', direction and a regional or ' national reputation that; demonstrates a high level of accomplishment. In addi tion, their artistic product, structured programs of educational value, and a demonstrated history of suc cessful touring in their resi dent state will place the ap plicant in a favorable light.
