Miss' Cinderella and her court led the ball and guests danced until the stroke of midnight. The Wizards of Sound and John Henry Bates provid ed music for the occasion. Prizes were awarded to Miss Cinderella and the runner-ups. Other par ticipants received gifts. Every contestant received a plaque. Prior to the ball, several charm clinics were con ducted by Mrs. Kathryn Crutchfield for the young ladies- and their escorts. A skating party was provid ed on Valentine's Day and a theatre party to attend the dramatic perfor mances at North Carolina Central University. Mrs. Minnie H. Cromartie is local Basileus.
