Carowinds theme park is currently constructing a $2.75 million river in preparation for the 1882 season. Guests will ride down the river in round, eight-passenger
boats that will spin, tip and splash their way through and around rapids, wave-lakes, geysers, canyons, caverns and waterfalls during a 4-minute 16-second ride. The
yet-unnamed attraction will be located in the Plantation Square area of the park on a heavily wooded 4ecre site adjacent to the Paladium amphitheater.
