While not speaking on
ihe facts of the case. Hob

chorus of amens and 'go
ahead when he declared,
I ant not ashamed of
what I have done. I am .
proud of it." He con
tinued, saying "I feel like
justice will be done;
because of people like,
you. . . ."
Throughout the
testimonial, speaker after

she said. Said to be the

Professor Rosen stress
ed that Hobby's program,
which placed 32 or its 37

was the only one the FBI .
and the Eastern District of ,
North Carolina chose to
investigate and charge
with fraud.
Placing the burden to
fight the Congressional

help the conservatives ,
convict the labor leader.!
"You can dig a ditch for1,
Wilbur, but you had bet? :
tcf dig a ditch for you,
too. because they
'(conservatives will be
coming for you.
Long time activist
minister and former chair
man of the N.C. Advisory
Commission on Civil
Rights, Rev. W.W.
Finlator said that the
charges against Hobby
may be a blessing in
disguise.
"It may be that we are
going to find a blessing
out of the prosecution of
Wilbur Hobby," said
l inialor. adding "we arc
not here only to defend
Hobby, but we arc here to
unite in our defense of the
powerless."
