CHURCH NOTES
I LOOKED AND I SAW
HeGvethandTaketh .
By Rw, C.B.Stom
The Lord does not withhold the good things from His
people without an exceptionally good reason. Jesus said
. on one occasion, "Fear not little flock; it is my Father's
goci pleasure to give you the Kingdom." This state-
me: implies that the Father will give His people
unt . ied blessings on earth and reward them with posi
nior in the Kingdom. Thesellessings are attainable to
as many as obey. Him in both speech and deeds.
' Jesus is the perfect example of what God the Father
will do for His people if obedience to His Father is
maintained. Jesus pleased the Father and was given the
power to spearhead with authority on God's behalf.
Jesus is constantly in communion with the Father in an
effort to work toward sustaining His believers on an
endless basis. '
Many times we who preach and teach the truths of
God fail to present the otehr side of God. Just as the
.Father will withhold as many blessings as need be
because of His peoples' disobedience, He will also
remove blessings He had intended for them regarding
their future progress. The truth of the Divine matter is
that-our Father excells in the department of decision
making. He has the wisdom to reduce large matters to
theHabsolute value of nothing, just as He can add to
themT He was the firsts person and will be the last to
create something out of nothing, thus making things of
value truly worthwhile. As He chooses between the
ideas of giving and taking, the Father prefers the idea of
giving.
H who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
