Florida A&M met Grambling in New York's Yankee Stadium, and lost 21-10; South , Carolina State traveled to Richjond, Kentucky where they lost to : Eastern Kentucky 26-0; in Petersburg, Virginia, Delaware State dropped a heartbreaking f3-12 ' decision to Virginia State; and Bethune-Cookman . suf fered a tough 3-0 loss to Southern University in Baton Rouge: Grambling took ad vantage of some early Rattler mental mistakes to beat back FAMU, despite a brilliant perfor mance by quarterback Nathaniel Koonnce. The junior hit on 19 or 37 passes for 224 yards, rushed for 33 more on 12 tries, and scored the lone FAMU touchdown on a two-yard burst. S.C. State was forced to experiment with three different quarterbacks who fumbled five times between them, losing two, and suffered two in terceptions. Last Saturday, Rowe, a 5-11, 205 pound runn ingback, put together 126 offensive yards, and caught. touchdown passes of 2,7 and 18 yards in a 13-12Joss at Virginia State. The junior is from,. Belle Glade, Florida. Second in the balloting was Nathaniel Koonce,, quarterback of Florida A&M. Dawson Hillside High School's young Hornet cross country team should do , extremely well in Big Six -Conference competition, predicts head coach Russell Blunt. Boys' and girls' .teams have rctum inji 5,000 meter distance runners from last year's squad. Four of this year's I hiri ecu-member boys' team were on the 1980 team that lied tor second place in the Big Six Con ference Sectional meet.
