Xhe Charmalette Social Club, assisted by their
liiisbands (Charms), sponsored a trip recently to

-fliis annual trip was focused on the cglebration
pf the 32nd Anniversary of The Greenwood
Oiarmelettes. Some of the highlights of the trip in-
(laded a tour of Greenwood, banquet and get ac-
pjainled evening, special awards, and the presenta-
Ijpj of a slide commentary (history of Durham

Stewart). The trip provided opportunities for the
Lewis
Woodwards, and the “Jim” Boldens, and
plliers to fellowship with family m.embers,
jjlioolmates and other friends.
Ttie Charmalette Social Club was organized in
1154.
Beyond the focus of social activities. The Char-
ualettes strive diligently to enhance the overall
jiowth of the Durham community. Some club ac-
jiities include religious, cultural, political and
(onimunity action pursuits. The group has con
tributed to the John Avery Boys’ Club, the Lincoln
Community Health Center and the Crippled
Children’s Association. The Charmalettes have also
jiiopted several families (seasonal).
The current club consists of thirteen members.
