Carlton Tearry, a graduate of E.E. Smith, has been named "Soldier of the Week." He enjoys doing things with his hands. He is a Fayetteville native. He comes from a family who built their own homes. His uncles are plumbers, masons and elec tricians. He enjoys poetry after a hard day of work. He has received the Depatment of the Army Cer tificate of Achievement and the Army Commenda tion medal. The festivities began at 11 a.m. at the site on Doc Bennett Road This fall, the Fort Bragg Playhouse will present "Raisin In The Sun" beginning October 23 at 8:15 p.m. The Cumberland County Advisory (vocational) Council met recently at Douglas Byrd School. Ms. Sandra Clement Selected To Attend Pre-Health Institute Miss Sandra D. Clement, daughter of Mr. and Mrs: A.J.H. Clement, III, was one of 20 minority .students from across the United States selected to attend the 1981 Pre-Health Institute at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. The six-week program was designed for students interested in the basic health sciences. Miss Clement received the most outstanding student awards in chemistry and physics at the culmination of the Institute.
