FACULTY RECITAL .- PIANO Tuesday,
January 26, the Duke University Department of
Music will present Loren Withers, pianist, in a
faculty recital. The program which wjll begi at
8:15 p.m. in Baldwin Auditorium a will include
Beethoven's Sonata in C, Op. 2 No. 3; Brahms
Sonata in C; Op 1; Chopin's Scherzo in C-sharp.
Minor, Op. 39; Rawl.'s Ondine, from VGaspard de
la Nuit"; and-Harold Schiffman's Fantasy. The
program is open to the public without charge.
TRIANGLE MUSIC CLUB -The First meeting
and concert of the Triangle Music Club, a club for
musicians and music lovers in the Triangle area, will'

Durham High, Southern High and the N.C School
of Science and Mathematics are preparing for the
latches. The winning team from this county will go
to the Regional Quiz Bowl competition which
Durham County Library will be hosting for the first
time this year on March 20. The regional winner '.
and the regional runner-up will meet April 24 for '
